Back in 2024, we proudly joined the Pledge 1% program – an initiative that encourages companies to contribute 1% of their profits, product, equity, or employee time to philanthropic efforts.
Supporting Local Organizations That Matter
Our team has grown a lot this past 2 years, and we’re expanding what it means when we refer to our “local community”, because it looks different for many of us! We are a 100% Canadian company with clients across the entire country (shoutout New Brunswick!) which means our local orgs include a wide range of amazing non-profits that make their world better – in small and big ways.
1. Our Place (Victoria, BC)
Our Place provides essential support to vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and addiction. Their programs offer food, shelter, job training, and community support, helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. 🛌
Highway Three is SO excited to be a long term partner in the vision and mission of the fantastic people at Our Place, we see the direct impact their work has on the Victoria unhoused community.
2. Anawim House
Anawim House is a sanctuary for individuals overcoming addiction and homelessness. More than just a shelter, it offers a place of healing and transformation, where people can access counselling, mentorship, and skills training in a safe and supportive environment. The Anawim House is only a few blocks from our downtown location, so it is a very “close to home cause” that we are privileged to support. 🏠
3. ROAM (Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing) Pet Finding Service
Losing a pet can be heartbreaking, and ROAM is dedicated to reuniting lost animals with their families. Their passionate team of volunteers works tirelessly to locate and rescue missing pets, offering peace of mind to owners while ensuring the safety of beloved animals. A lot of our employees have a furry friend, and we are grateful for the team that helps lost pets in Victoria. 🐶
4. Community Forests International
Combining agriculture and forestry innovations to help farmers transform depleted land into resilient agroforestry systems that are better for people and the planet. H3 supported their work in Zanzibar!
5. My Grandfather’s Cat
My Grandfather’s Cat is a charity based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, that helps seniors and terminally ill people feed and arrange second forever homes for their beloved pets in Canada. More than 1,900 animals have been helped through our work since May 2021.
5. Sanctuary Youth Centre
Sanctuary Youth Centre provides a safe and supportive environment for Victoria’s street entrenched or at-risk youth. Operating five days a week, their drop-in program gives youth access to showers, meals, groceries, mentorship and activities.
