At our recent Executive Roundtable: Energy & Transport, hosted in partnership with Atlassian, we gathered a curated room of leaders and practitioners across energy, transit, and the public sector who are actively navigating Atlassian tools at scale.

The Highlight: Neil Smith on BC Hydro’s Enterprise Cloud Journey
One of the highlights of the afternoon was hearing from Neil Smith, IT Service Operations Processes & Enterprise Atlassian Cloud Platform Manager at BC Hydro.
Neil started with migrating from legacy systems, and moved to what happens after you land in the Cloud:
- Business-Led Adoption: Moving beyond IT tickets to solve real business problems across engineering, creative services, and operations.
- Unlocking Cloud Capabilities: Rolling out tools like Jira Product Discovery and piloting AI (including Atlassian Rovo) safely in an enterprise environment.
- Governing Scale: Balancing central standards and compliance with departmental autonomy.
